Visit Ephesus, an important place of pilgrimage. Temple of Artemis and the Library of Celsus. Continue onto Secuk to see the Basilica of St John. Overnight in Kusadasi.
Discover Aphrodisias, now an important site, including the Temple of Aphrodite and the magnificent stadium. Continue to Hierapolis, a Seleucid city, thermal spa and archaeological museum. Overnight in Hierapolis.
Visit Iznik (Nicaea) to see the Roman and Byzantine city walls, Propylon, Haghia Sophia. On to Cavdarhisar, with an impressive Temple of Zeus, thermae, theatre and stadium. Overnight in Iznik.
Today for Istanbul. Visit the Kariye Camii mosaics and wall paintings, Basilica Cistern, the majestic Byzantine Haghia Sophia, the excellent archaeological museum. Afterwards, wander through the Grand Bazaar.
Morning visit to the Sultan Ahmet Camii (Blue Mosque), one of the last of the imperial mosques, and free time before your transfer to the airport and your return flight to the UK.
